Glimpses of God at Work in Eastern U.S.
By Grace Alone is a church plant in urban Philadelphia, one of many new multicultural churches in the Home Missions Eastern U.S. region. Pastor Gabriel Wang-Herrera shares the following testimony from a woman in the church: “I just want to share this testimony with you from one of the people that God has brought to us,” he says. “She’s been with us for about 2 1/2 years and it’s been a long journey. God has transformed her life. My prayer is that we all would have many more like her in our congregation. Here is her story, in her words: “It is becoming more evident in my everyday decisions that, yes, I am a child of God! And, yes, I am a proud Christian and I feel his love working in my life daily!” “I have learned so much about our Lord and what he has done for me. I had mentioned that I didn’t feel like God has done anything powerful for me to determine the moment I had been saved. But what is more powerful than loving me is that he gave up His only son to die on the cross for MY sins. Jesus died for my sins so I don’t have to. What an amazing feeling it is to know he loves me that much no matter what my past looks like. And I am forgiven. Not only did he die for us, he was resurrected for us. Jesus died once and he can not die again physically and that is how God gave us an eternal link to him through Jesus. This affirms our belief that He is God Almighty and He deserves praise and all the glory!” < Back |
