Ways to use "Pray to the Lord of the Harvest" Bookmarks:

Place a minute of silence in each service and invite members to pray silently for the ministry of the day. (These can be printed in the bulletin or put on the screen).
Remember the prayer needs in your congregational prayer.
Place a large "bowl" (cf. Revelation 5:8) in the front of your worship area. Provide small, business size cards for people to write short prayers on and during the singing of a subsequent song, have people bring their prayers to the front of the church and place them in the bowl.
Earmark a bulletin board in a very visible area of your church as the "Lord of the Harvest" board. Place a world map (available from World Missions) on the board. Each week make "cards" of the number and heading for the prayer requests for that week (e.g. "1 — Alberta"), place them alongside the map, and then pin string from the request card to the location on the map.
Place one lit candle in the front of the church as a reminder that one way we "light our world" is by praying for them.
Consider holding a prayer service at the end of the 28 days and invite 28 people to participate by simply offering a 2-3 sentence prayer for each need. This can be interspersed with songs and scriptures.
