Opportunities to Serve Overseas with CRWM
Is God calling you to be a missionary?
CRWM has a variety of ways to get involved.
Career missionaries - We offer long-term positions in areas such as leadership training and development, evangelism and church planting, regional networking centers, theological education, and much more. Career missionaries are employees of CRWM and raise support to cover some of the costs involved with serving overseas. Learn more about our current career openings.
Associate missionaries usually serve in a support role for career missionaries and their national ministry partners (for example, a tutor for missionary kids). Their term of service is typically two to three years. An associate is an employee of CRWM and raises support to cover some of the costs involved with serving overseas, just as a career missionary does. Find associate opportunities on our current career openings page.
Partner missionaries are appointed on a year-by-year basis. Partner missionaries are employees of organizations that have partnership relationships with CRWM. They are often, but not always, teachers. We provide various kinds of support for partners, depending on their employing organizations. Learn more about teaching opportunities with CRWM.
Volunteer opportunities with our missionaries and their national ministry partners offer a great way for you to experience cross-cultural missions. If you have a few weeks or a few months, these opportunities help you learn from Christians around the world and offer you a way to use your gifts. Most volunteer opportunities require you to raise support to cover all of your ministry-related costs. Learn more about our current volunteer openings.

Letter of Endorsement
If you are serving with another organization whose work lies outside the scope of CRWM's mission and vision, you may be able to apply for a Letter of Endorsement from CRWM. Members of the Christian Reformed Church (CRCNA) are eligible to apply for a letter of endorsement from CRWM. The purpose for granting these letters is to have a mechanism for recognizing and recommending to others the valuable ministries of CRCNA people who are serving as missionaries with other organizations. This letter can be helpful to those interested in pursuing support from CRCNA congregations. Learn more about applying for a letter of endorsement.
Please note that as a denominational agency of the Christian Reformed Church in North America (CRCNA),
we typically appoint members of the CRCNA to long-term positions with CRWM.
Though short-term missionaries are also usually members of the CRC, those who
are not members of the CRC are welcome to serve in volunteer roles.
In such cases, expenses that would normally be covered by denominational
ministry shares will be the responsibility of the volunteer.
