You are invited to a journey of discovery that will capture you—body, mind and soul. It will be a journey that will teach you a rhythm of working and resting. It will place order in your life in a way that leads to transformation in yourself and those you lead. It will bring you into a deeper and more intimate relationship with God. It will restore your soul.
If you are like most Christian pastors and leaders, you have struggled to live within the limits of your humanity as the pressures and weight of ministry have produced never-ending to-do lists and overwhelming expectations from those you serve. The Deeper Journey is calling you to break out of these compulsions and into spiritual rhythms by which you will experience the presence of God more frequently and the voice of God more directly.
Deeper Journey is a two–year commitment to attend eight “three-day” retreats; to actively participate in a large community, in a small group community, and in communal worship; and to practice the disciplines and the rhythms between retreats. Each retreat will focus on one primary theme, discipline or spiritual practice with significant time set aside for solitude, silence, and rest. Small group communities will meet twice during each retreat and one additional time between each retreat at a location and time to be determined by the small group.
The Deeper Journey experience has been shaped by the following values:

Sacred Space - We have carefully selected a retreat location and environment that ensures peaceful sanctuary and an opportunity to meet God in His creation.

Contemplative Worship - Each retreat includes a rhythm of worship that includes scripture, song, Psalms, sacrament and water.

Silence & Solitude - Each retreat includes extended times to be alone with God and to rest.

Practical Teaching - Each retreat includes instruction in the disciplines and spiritual direction.

Safe Community - The Deeper Journey is a confidential environment where participants can be supported, encouraged and held accountable on their spiritual journey.
